These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of our website, our services, and any agreement entered into between you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) and Islands Custom Signs (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing this website, requesting a quote, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If any part of these Terms is unacceptable to you, please refrain from using our website or services.
1. Our Services
We provide custom signage design, fabrication, and installation services, including but not limited to business signs, outdoor signs, indoor signs, vinyl graphics, vehicle wraps, monument signs, and related branding solutions across the Caribbean region.
All work is subject to a formal quote and, where applicable, a signed proposal or work order. Verbal discussions, email correspondence, and website inquiries do not constitute a binding agreement until both parties confirm project scope, pricing, and timeline in writing.
2. Quotes and Pricing
Quotes are prepared based on the information and specifications available at the time of request. Pricing may be adjusted if project scope, materials, dimensions, or site conditions differ from what was originally discussed.
Unless otherwise stated, quotes remain valid for 30 days from the date issued. Requests made after a quote has been accepted may result in revised pricing and an updated timeline.
3. Deposits and Payment
A deposit is typically required before design or fabrication work begins. The deposit amount and remaining payment schedule will be detailed in your project proposal or invoice.
Full payment is due upon completion of installation unless alternative terms have been agreed to in writing. Late payment may result in project delays, suspended work, or additional fees, and we reserve the right to place a hold on future orders for accounts with an outstanding balance.
4. Design Approval
Design concepts are developed based on the input, branding materials, and objectives you provide. A set number of revisions is included during the design phase, as specified in your proposal; requests beyond that scope may incur additional charges.
Production begins only after written approval of the final design has been received. Changes requested after approval may affect both cost and timeline.
5. Materials and Fabrication
Materials are selected for their suitability to Caribbean environmental conditions, including UV exposure, salt air, humidity, and tropical storms. While these materials are chosen for durability, no signage product is entirely immune to wear over time or to damage caused by severe weather events.
Colour, texture, and finish may vary slightly from digital proofs due to differences between screen display and physical production.
6. Installation
Installation timelines depend on project scope, site conditions, permitting, and shipping logistics, particularly for island destinations. An estimated timeline will be provided at the time of quoting; however, this remains an estimate rather than a guarantee, as it may be affected by factors outside our control, including weather, customs processing, and site access delays.
Clients are responsible for confirming that the installation site is accessible and that any required permits or landlord approvals have been secured ahead of the scheduled date. Delays resulting from site access issues or missing permits may incur rescheduling fees.
7. Client Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information regarding your business, branding assets, site measurements, and project requirements. Islands Custom Signs is not responsible for errors, delays, or added costs resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the client.
You are also responsible for confirming that any content used in your signage, including logos, trademarks, and text, does not infringe on the rights of a third party. You agree to indemnify Islands Custom Signs against claims arising from content you provide for use in your project.
8. Warranties
We stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship and materials. Specific warranty terms, including coverage period and scope, will be detailed in your individual project proposal or invoice, as these may vary depending on sign type, materials used, and installation location.
Warranty coverage does not extend to damage caused by extreme weather events beyond normal conditions, vandalism, unauthorized modification, improper maintenance, or ordinary wear and tear.
9. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. If a project is cancelled after a deposit has been paid but before production has started, a partial refund may be issued, less any costs already incurred for design work or materials ordered.
Once fabrication has begun, deposits become non-refundable, as materials and labour have already been committed to the project.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Islands Custom Signs shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, including loss of business, revenue, or data. Total liability for any claim relating to our services shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for the specific project in question.
11. Intellectual Property
Design concepts, artwork, and creative materials produced by our team remain our intellectual property until full payment has been received. Upon full payment, ownership of the final approved design transfers to the client for use in connection with their business, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We reserve the right to photograph completed projects for portfolio, marketing, and promotional use, unless the client requests otherwise in writing.
12. Website Use
Content on this website, including text, images, graphics, and logos, is the property of Islands Custom Signs and is protected under applicable intellectual property law. Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of this content without our written consent is prohibited.
We take reasonable steps to keep the information on this website accurate and current, though we cannot guarantee that all content is free of errors or omissions.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Islands Custom Signs is registered to operate, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes arising from these Terms or from services rendered will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the parties.
